How to Look Your Best This Winter
/Look Your Best
The summer of 2020 hasn’t turned out exactly as we planned, so it’s time to shift our focus on the next big season – winter. Despite the cold, now is the time to start thinking about certain changes that we would like to implement in our appearance, think about the fashion choices to rock on the streets, and decide on the beauty routines that we will get down to (and no, beauty routines are not supposed to be for women only). Being attractive and, most importantly, finding yourself attractive, is not an easy task. We are all self-judgmental very often, so the more confident we feel in our ability to pull something off, the better. Take a look at some of the ways you can boost not only your appearance but your confidence as well:
Pamper yourself for confidence
Let’s start from the least obvious way of looking your best this winter. In order to look good, you must feel good first. That is why it would be a very wise idea to give yourself some “me” time, and one of the best ways to do so is by opting for a massage of your choice. A great massage will not only do wonders for your mood; it will recharge your body and give it a boost of confidence that you might need. There are several types of massages that you can go for, starting from a mobile one which doesn’t require you to leave your home to remedial and relaxation massage. Don’t be scared to experiment a little.
Improve your hair game
Your hair is on the first line of defense every winter. The cold and harsh air can be harmful to your hair, and bad hair always shows, so you should take extra care of it. If, on the other hand, you’re not satisfied with the volume of your hair or you want to cover certain bald spots, try a mesotherapy hair treatment that will prevent hair loss and stimulate the growth of new hair. Finally, when you’re finished taking care of your hair, go and get yourself a manicure – plenty of people notice hands first!
Follow fashion
Fashion is not everything, but it does play quite an important role in determining who you are. Of course, you are not supposed to follow all the latest trends to the letter and put yourself in outfits that you feel uncomfortable in, but pay attention to the details such as the colors and patterns that will be trendy this winter. According to Vogue, keep your eyes open for anything that’s red (as they predict it will be huge this winter) or anything with squares or checkers. Cardigans will also be very popular and the whole ‘70s look that we forgot about.
Oh, the cologne!
Being fashionable and looking good will not really pay off unless you smell good. Colognes can be rather expensive, but you will be able to find that one fragrance that will be your signature cologne. Your smell can make or break any first, second or third impression, so it’s good to invest in one or two high-quality fragrances that you will rock. However, choose your fragrance carefully as strong and woody ones are ideal for winter while citrus-based ones are mostly for the summer. In order to find the best cologne for you, you will have to try them out a couple of times, just to see if you feel comfortable with that scent.
Stay fit
Lastly, did you think that fitness won’t matter? As obvious as it is, staying fit and lean really does play an integral role in your appearance. So does eating healthily, as one doesn’t go without the other. Winter might not be the season to show off your body, but it’s always important to stay active and work on those muscles. Do not let winter get in the way of your ideal look.
To conclude, it is important to stay fit, eat healthily and stay active. But small things also matter, such as the way you combine your clothes, how you smell and how you behave. On this note, stay true to who you are, don’t try to impress others too much and be kind. That’s always the key!
