The Harmony of Men's Bodywork: M2M Massage and Tattoos
/A Passion for Two Art Forms
In the realm of personal passions, few things can rival the profound pleasure derived from the world of holistic bodywork and body adornment. For me, the synergy between these two art forms, namely massage and tattoos, is a source of immense joy and gratification.
A Lifelong Love for Massage
My journey into the world of massage began long before I became a certified therapist in 2012. It was rooted in the simple, everyday pleasures of family massage exchanges. As a child, I relished any chance to experience the soothing sensation of touch. Much like a contented dog reveling in a tender pat on the head, a gentle belly rub, or an affectionate scratch behind the ear, I too found solace in the magic of human touch. It's an enchantment that has never waned.
Tattoos and the Massage Connection
The realm of tattoos has intertwined seamlessly with my career as a massage therapist. Far from being a hindrance, my inked skin has been a source of fascination for many of my clients. It's a remarkable experience to see diverse and captivating works of art etched into the canvas of human bodies lying on my massage table. With my own collection of tattoos, I find myself attracting those who share a deep appreciation for body art.
The Rose & Dagger Saga
Today, I stand on the threshold of getting my seventh tattoo, and the anticipation is palpable. This time, it's the Rose & Dagger that's captured my imagination. This tattoo carries profound symbolism, representing the duality of human existence. The rose, a symbol of friendship, vitality, beauty, and love, contrasts starkly with the dagger, which signifies deceit, betrayal, destruction, and death. In my design, a vine of roses gracefully entwines around the blade of the dagger, showcasing the potential for harmony between these opposing forces. My ink artist of choice for this endeavour is Mase, a true virtuoso in the world of tattoos.
Title 4: Mase - A Master of the Art
Mase, my go-to tattoo artist, is nothing short of a master in his craft, boasting over a decade of experience. He works his magic at the renowned Eternal Instinct Tattoo Studio, surrounded by a team of equally skilled artists. Mase's expertise spans a wide spectrum, making him the ideal choice for anyone seeking artistic expression on their skin.
The Tattoo-Massage Balancing Act
Tattoos and massages, two loves of mine, can occasionally find themselves at odds. When you receive a new tattoo, your skin undergoes a delicate healing process. This stage is a definite no-go for massages, as they can cause harm to the compromised skin. After the initial tenderness subsides, you might encounter intense itching, which is another contraindication for massage, as it can worsen the itch by drawing blood to the area.
A Canvas of Expression
As I eagerly await my seventh tattoo, I'm reminded of the harmony that exists between my dual passions: massage and body art. While new ink requires special care and avoidance of massages, the end result is a beautiful masterpiece etched onto the canvas of my body. These two realms of expression continue to enrich my life, offering unique avenues for personal and artistic exploration.
